Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the transition intention from on-premise ERP to cloud-based ERP in organizations. Applying the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) model based on migration theory, this study defines scalability, cost-effectiveness, and top management support as pull factors; system quality and flexibility as push factors; and information security and switching costs as mooring factors. A survey was conducted with ERP users, and a total of 190 valid responses were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that pull factors significantly affect perceived attractiveness of alternatives, while push factors influence dissatisfaction improvement. Both mediators positively affect transition intention. Additionally, information security concerns were found to moderate the relationship between mediating variables and transition intention. This study provides strategic insights for ERP transition planning, offering implications for digital transformation in enterprise payment and accounting systems.
