Abstract
This study examined the effects of action learning teaching methods on nursing students’ learning satisfaction, learning achieve- ment, major satisfaction, self-regulated learning ability, and self-leadership. Using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent comparison group design, this study was conducted with an experimental group of 56 third-year nursing students from D University in A city and a control group of 43 third-year nursing students from B University in C city. The experimental group received maternity & women’s health nursing education using action learning methods. Results showed that the action learning group demonstrated sig- nificantly higher scores in major satisfaction, learning satisfaction, and learning achievement compared to the control group. How- ever, no significant differences were found in self-regulated learning ability and self-leadership between the groups. These findings suggest that action learning teaching methods effectively enhance nursing students’ satisfaction and achievement in professional education. These results confirmed the need for education that goes beyond simple lecture-style teaching methods and applies vari- ous participatory teaching methods, such as action learning, to foster nursing talents equipped with core competencies required by society, leading innovation in the health paradigm, and adapting to changes in the healthcare environment.
