AI는 교육 분야에서 우리가 가르치고 배우는 방식을 혁신하여 개인화된 학습에서 행정 업무 자동화에 이르기까지 다양한 방식 으로 교육을 더욱 효율적으로 접근 가능하게 만들 혁신적인 잠재력을 지니고 있다. 특히 학생들은 AI기반 앱 등을 사용하여 학생 개개인의 학습 수준과 요구에 따른 개인화된 학습 환경에서 학생의 학습 성과를 향상시킬 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문은 학생 및 교사 가 AI 기술을 활용하여 보다 효과적인 교육 환경을 만드는 방법을 탐구하고자 한다. 우리는 AI기반 교육용 앱을 통해 기존 교실 수 업에서 직면해 있는 개인화와 학생 성과 평가에 활용되는 교육용 앱 등을 분석하고, AI 기술 도입 과정에서 관련된 위험을 줄이기 위해 적용된 AI 기술을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 교실 교육에서 사용되는 AI기반 교육용 앱 등에 관한 문헌들을 조사하였다. 연구 결 과에 따르면 적용된 AI 기술은 학생 참여도 향상, 학습의 개인화, 학생들의 고품질 교육 제공 및 학생 성과 평가 등에 장점이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 AI 기술 적용 시 개인정보보호, 윤리적 문제, 형평성 등의 문제도 내포하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 AI 기술이 교육을 더 효율적으로 접근하고 개선할 수 있는 엄청난 역량을 가지고 있지만 신중하게 적용해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) holds transformative potential in the realm of education, has had applications in every industry and has been widely adopted in the EdTech. It offers a wide range of benefits that have the potential to revolutionize the learning experiences for students and the teaching experiences for teachers. In particular, students can leverage AI-powered apps to improve student learning outcomes in a personalized learning environment based on their individual learning levels and needs in classroom settings. In this paper, we explore how AI-based educational apps can be used to foster more effective educational envi ronments for students and teachers. We undertake a thorough analysis of the challenges faced in traditional classrooms, including personalization and assessment of student performance. We then explore the AI techniques applied to mitigate the risks associated with AI technology. To this end we have conducted a comprehensive survey of the literature on AI-powered educational apps em ployed in classroom education. The findings of the survey demonstrate that the application of AI technologies can enhance student engagement, personalize learning, deliver high-quality education to students, and assess student performance. However, the survey also highlights privacy, ethical, and equity concerns associated with AI. Therefore, while AI has the potential to make education more accessible and effective, its application must be carefully considered.
