‘민주주의 이후의 민주화론’에 대한 맑스주의적 비판

이 글은 최장집의 민주주의 이후의 민주화론에 대한 맑스주의적 비판을 전개하는 것을 목적으로 삼고 있다. 이와 관련하여 이 글은 첫째, 정당민주주의론과 한국정당정치의 위기 사이의 관계를 다루고 있으며 둘째, 정당민주주의의 혁신에서의 근본적인 동력에 관한 문제를 다루고 있다. 또한, 이어서 셋째, 신자유주의에서의 대의제적 정치체제의 한계를 다루면서 마지막으로 민주주의의 이상과 현실의 관계를 논의하고 있다. 이런 논의를 통해 이 글은 민주주의 이후의 민주화론이 첫째, 오늘날 대의제 및 정당민주주의가 처해 있는 위기 상황을 한국적인 특수성으로만 간주하는 경향을 가지고 있다고 비판하고 있으며 둘째, 신자유주의에서의 대의제 및 정당민주주의의 한계를 보지 않고 있으며 셋째, 현실주의에 사로잡혀 민주주의의 이상인 자기 통치 원리를 배제하는 결과를 초래하고 있다고 비판하고 있다. 그러므로 이 글은 최장집의 민주주의 이후의 민주화론이 이념적으로 보다 확장될 필요가 있다고 주장하고 있다. 또한, 이런 논의를 통해서 이 글은 첫째, 운동정치의 활성화를 통한 주체형성을 모색하고 둘째, 대의제적 한계를 넘어서 자기 통치라는 민주주의의 이상으로 나아갈 것을 주문함과 동시에 셋째, 코뮌의 핵심적 문제의식을 적극적으로 수용해야 한다고 주장하고 있다.
Abstract
This paper aims to a Marxist criticism about Choi's theory of democratization in the development of democracy. In this regard, this is dealing with the relationship between the party democracy and crisis of party politics in Korea, and secondly, the issues of a essential power to innovate political parties. Thirdly, this is dealing with the limitation of representative system in neo-liberalism and finally, the relationship between ideal and reality of democracy. Through such discussions, this paper has been criticized the theory of democratization in the development of democracy. First, it is considered the crisis of representative system and party democracy only as a peculiarity in Korea. Second, It is without looking at the limitation of representative system and party democracy in neo-liberalism. Third, it is causing the results to eliminate the self-governing principle of democracy by seized with the reality. Therefore, this paper argues that Choi's theory of democratization in the development of democracy should be extended to more ideologically. Furthermore, this argues that it firstly, seek for a subject formation based on the activation of movement politics, secondly, will move toward the ideals of democracy as a self-governing beyond a representative system, and thirdly, should be accept the key issues of commune.
