초록
This study was conducted in order to examine the antioxidant activity of cosmetic material development from Lycopersicon esculentum extracted under different conditions. The highest content of total flavonoid and polyphenol compounds was 15.40 mg/g and 8.76 mg/g at LBW. Regarding the DPPH radical scavenging ability at a concentration of 10%, LBW and LRW were greater than 80%. All extracts exhibited greater than 90% ABTS radical scavenging ability at a concentration of 10%. The highest activity was observed for SOD-like activity and xanthine oxidase inhibition, with LBW of 35.76% and 18.77% at a concentration of 10%. In the analysis of nitrate scavenging activity, leaves extracted from LRJ showed the highest activity, 67.04% at pH 1.2, and the activity increased as an increment of concentration and a pH decrement. The highest activity was observed for collagenase and tyrosinase inhibition activities at 36.05% and 86.52% in LBW at a concentration of 10%, respectively. The inhibition of NO production from L. esculentum extracts decreased by approximately 9%~11% with treatment of 10%. These results indicated the excellent anti-aging and antioxidant activity of LBW. Therefore, the potential for use of LBW as a functional ingredient in beauty-related food and skin health is confirmed.
