학교폭력의 원인과 대응방안에 관한 연구 - 가정적 요인을 중심으로 -

Abstract

First of all, a police station was selected from each district to investigate the changing aspects of school violence. Then, an in-depth interview was conducted for 30 people involved in school violence including policemen in charge of school violence, parents, and teaching staff. Interviewees’ awareness of school violence they experienced either directly or indirectly was analyzed through an interview. As a result of investigating family types of perpetrators of school violence through an interview, it was found that perpetrators are from foster families than single parent families. When investigated family atmosphere among the functional factors of family through an in-depth interview, school violence was found to be caused by witness to violence between parents, experience of abuse, and frequent exposure to verbal violence. Frequent exposure to verbal violence in households is closely related to home discipline and character education. In addition, it was found that students who are exposed to more verbal violence cases are more likely to become school violence perpetrators who may cause physical or cyber violence to other students. It is necessary to strengthen supervision and management on lower grades in first-year students of middle school to remedy the parents' supervision and management functions during this transition period encompassing students’ graduation from elementary school and first year in middle school. In order to remedy weakened management/supervision and character education by parents, it is necessary to obligate companies or organizations to provide school violence prevention education for working parents. In conclusion, it is necessary to customized school violence countermeasures because there are various school violence aspects according to grades and sexes. However, its major cause is family life. Unfortunately, it is difficult and limited to institutionally intervene in family life for resolving family factors. However, a variety of countermeasures such as home disciplines for correct language habits, compulsory education programs for both parents and children, school violence prevention programs for working parents in companies, police’s education programs, etc. should be found to help in resolving the family factor.
