공간계량모형을 활용한 수도권 읍면동의 산업별집적의 영향요인 분석

초록

본 연구의 목적은 산업활동의 집적에 미치는 영향요인에 대하여 공간계량모형을 활용하여 실증분석하는 데 있다. 실증분석에 활용된 자료는 2010년 말 기준, 수도권에 위치한 기업들을 대상으로 조사한 전국사업체조사의 마이크로데이터이다. 실증분석의 주요 내용은 산업활동의 집적수준에 대한 공간적 자기상관성분석과 집적의 영향요인에 대한공간계량모형의 적용과 해석으로 구성되었다. 산업활동 집적의 영향요인으로는 집적경제, 시간 및 공간 요인 그리고입지여건 등 집적에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 변수들이 포함되었다. 주요한 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제조·건설 산업과 금융·보험·부동산(FIRE) 산업은 수도권 내부에서 각각 대도시 외곽지역과 대도시 내부공간에서 산업활동이 집중되는 차별화되는 패턴을 나타냈다. 둘째, 산업유형별 집적의 영향요인에 대한 실증분석에서 산업활동 규모, 고용 측면의 미시적 경쟁, 해당산업의 평균 유지기간, 지역 내 전 산업 성장률, 그리고 광역 접근성이 공통적으로영향을 미치는 요인인 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 산업 다양성, 기업활동 유지기간별 사업체 및 고용의 비율, 평균 공시지가는 산업활동의 집적과 관련하여 산업유형별로 상이한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타나 산업유형별로 집적에 미치는 영향요인이 차별화되는 것을 확인하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 산업활동 집적 관련 정책(지역 산업특화 정책)의 수립과 집행에 있어, 집적경제의 세부요인들 간의 관계, 시간 및 공간 측면의 효과, 그리고 입지여건 특성에 대하여 산업유형별 차이를 고려할 필요가 있음을 제시한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze empirically the determinants of the agglomeration by industrial type. The empirical analyses were conducted using the micro-data of the 2010 Census on Establishments in Seoul Metropolitan Region. The methodologies were location quotient, spatial auto-correlation analyses (global & local moran’s indexes) and spatial economics (spatial lag model & spatial error model). The explanatory variables of this empirical study were classified as agglomeration economies, time and space attributes, and location conditions. Regarding the results of the empirical analyses, firstly, the spatial distribution patterns of between manufacturing & construction industry and finance, insurance and realestate (FIRE) industry were different. Secondly, the commonly significant variables on the agglomeration were scale of industrial activity, competition level of employment in administrative dong, average maintenance duration of relevant companies, growth rate of whole industry, and accessibility of a broad area in the empirical analyses. Thirdly, the influences of the detail factors such as diversity of industrial activities, firm and employment rates by maintenance duration of relevant companies, and average land price differently were different by the industrial type. This study suggests the applications of differentiated industrial specialization policies in consideration of the significant determinants of agglomeration by the industrial type.
