저소득·저신용 취약계층의 복지 욕구 분석 : 수급 여부에 따른 영역별 복지 욕구 차이를 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the complex welfare needs according to the economic and demographic characteristics of the low-income and low-credit vulnerable groups. The study analyzed the factors affecting the welfare needs of the vulnerable by using the data of ‘Extreme Low Credit Loans in Gyeonggi-do’. Logistic regression analysis was performed with a dichotomized variable with values of 0 and 1 for the dependent variables. The main findings are as follows. First, welfare needs are influenced by economic characteristics such as recipients, participation in economic activities, housing stability, household income and expenditure and the direction and intensity of influence are different for each type of welfare needs. It implies that when designing a system for discovering the dead zone of welfare, various characteristics that affect welfare needs as well as income should be considered. Second, the effects of various economic and demographic characteristics on welfare needs differ between the recipient and non-recipient group. In a non-recipient group whose income is determined by their economic activity, the intensity of their needs varies depending on their participation in economic activities and their income level. This study has academic significance in that they empirically verified the complex welfare needs of the vulnerable, including the secondary poor, who are excluded from the national basic livelihood security. In addition, it is expected that basic data can be provided for identifying welfare needs and policy establishment of low-income vulnerable groups.
