방언의 은사에 대한 신학적 이해

방언을말하는현상은신약시대의특이한현상이라할 수 있다. 언어 의 혼잡을유발한바벨탑사건이후초대교회에서는천국에서있을언어 의 통일을미리맛보게되었다. 그때가바로오순절이라할 수 있다. 오순 절 날 예수의제자들은예루살렘에모여성령이말하게하심을따라다른 방언으로말하기시작하였다. 그결과 여러 나라에서예루살렘을방문한 유대인들이자기들의언어로하나님의크신일에대해서(행2 :1- 11) 듣게 되었다. 방언은우리의발성을통해나타나는성령의은사이다. 그동안조 직신학의한 주제인성령의은사론에대한관심과연구가활성화되지못 했다. 그러나2 0세기에들어서교회내의오순절운동과카리스마운동의 영향으로인해교회의성령의은사에대한관심이크게증진되었다. 현재 은사론에대한논쟁은주로방언과예언그리고신유에집중되고있다. 본 논문은방언에대한성서학적이해나실천적이해(방언의종류나방언기 도, 방언찬양, 방언하는방법등)를포함한전반적이해를다루지않고다 만 필자의관심을촉발하고있는몇 가지주제들, 즉방언의의미와속성, 성경적방언과오늘의방언, 거짓방언의특성, 방언과성령충만과의상관 성, 그리고방언과통역의상관성에관하여논하고자한다.
Abstract
The main purpose of this article seeks theological understanding on the gift of tongues. This article analyses the meaning and character of tongues, biblical tongues and contemporary tongues, false tongues, correlation between tongues and filling with the Holy Spirit, and correlation between gift of tongues and gift of interpretation. In this article we can recognizes that the tongues are words of prayer and praise spoken to God, languages not understood by the speaker, prayer languages spoken by the Spirit, not by the mind, languages not ecstatic but self- controlled. Through discussion we can see character of tongues such as universality, revealingness, temporality and permanence, usefulness, orderliness, correlative inferiority of tongues. Biblical tongues and contemporary tongues is not the same one but different. Contemporary tongues have a possibility becoming false tongues. False tongues comes under the influence of Satan or comes through with an aspect of psychological distraction or aspect studied. The gift of tongues cannot be the sign of filling with the Holy Spirit and norm measuring the spirituality of the one speaking the tongue. It is very important that in a public area, the tongues must be interpreted, and without the interpretation the tongues must be restricted to oneself. We need to understand rightly the tongues. It comes from wrong understanding of the tongues that if we believe in Jesus, we can speak the tongues or have to speak the tongues. It must be our task that through right understanding of the tongues, we have to work for spreading the gospel according to the Bible’s teaching.
