본 연구에서는 동영상 공유 플랫폼 활용 온라인 예술교육의 특성과 의의를 성인 학습자의 위치에서 우리나라 유튜브 바이올린 교육 채널을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 연구에서 알고리즘을 기반으로 한 유튜브의 시각적 행위 지원성은 일반인들이 자연스럽게 음악교육 콘텐츠에 주목하게 하여 음악학습에 대한 접근성을 높이고 있었는데, 이에 성인 바이올린 학습자들은 유튜브의 비선형적 학습 과정과 참여적인 학습방식을 자기 주도적으로 활용하고 있었다. 또한, 유튜브의 상호작용 장치들은 클래식 음악교육 유튜버들이 소통 가운데 음악 학습자들의 필요를 효과적으로 파악하고 자신들의 교육자적 자질을 검증할 수 있게 지원하는 역할을 하고 있었다. 그러므로 현재 유튜브 교육 채널을 통한 온라인 음악교육은 우리나라 클래식 음악교육의 지평을 넓히는 통로일 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study examines the characteristics and significance of online art education using video sharing platforms, focusing on YouTube violin education channels in Korea from the view of adult learners. The algorithm-based visual behavior support of YouTube, naturally attracts the general public to pay more attention to music education content, and adult violin learners may continue self-directed study using YouTube’s nonlinear learning process and participatory learning methods. In addition, YouTube’s interaction devices play a role in helping classical music education YouTubers effectively recognize adult music learners’ needs and verify their educational qualifications while communicating with other music learners. Therefore, online music education through the current YouTube education channel could be a gate to broaden the horizon of classical music education in Korea.
