기후 변화와 세계적 유행병의 영향으로 삶과 생태계에 관한 인류의 관심은 어느 때보다 높다. 전 세계 문화 예술계도 환경 문제에 대해 급박한 위기의식을 공감하고 실천에 옮기기 시작했다. 영미권을 중심으로 오랜 준비와 연구 끝에 현장에 적용할 수 있는 아이디어들이 나오고 조직적으로 유럽과 북미를 연결하며 관객들의 요구에 속도를 맞추고 있다. 그러나 국내 문화 예술계는 문제의식에 비해 구체적인 변화의 움직임이 부족하다. 관련 연구와 전문인력, 실행안의 부족으로 실천 단계까지는 도달하지 못한 듯하다. 영국 공연계에서 오랜 준비 끝에 개발한 씨어터 그린북(Theatre Green Book)의 실행 지침을 들춰보고 국내 여건을 고려한 한계를 알아보며 국내 현장 적용 가능성과 개선 방안이 무엇인지 살펴본다.
Abstract
Due to the effects of climate change and pandemics, mankind’s interest in life and ecosystems is deeper than ever. Cultural and artistic circles around the world also feel an urgent sense of crisis about environmental problems and have begun to explore practical responses. Deep research and preparation has equipped European and North American arts and culture system to meet the needs of their audience. However, specific actions or movement for change in Korean arts and culture don’t yet meet the growing awareness of its audience. A lack of related research, professional resources, and implementation plans have impeded any practical applications. Using the practical guidelines of the Theater Green Book, developed over many years by a theatrical society in the UK, this research looks into the existing limitations to find applicable solutions and future improvement.
