AI 시대, 예술적 창조와 미적 감수성에 관한 재해석 그리고 예술교육에의 소고

본 연구는 AI의 발전 속에서 예술의 영역에서 검토될 수 있는 주요 질문을 다루면서, 인간의 예술적 창조와 미적 감수성을 재검토하고 학교 예술교육의 역할을 논의하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 인간 지능과 기계 기능 간의 차이와 관련한 본질적 질문으로서 ‘모방과 창조’의 논쟁을 함의하는 AI의 창조적 자원의 고갈 문제 및 AGI의 개념화 논쟁을 들여다본다. 이후, 그간 인간 고유의 특성으로 간주되어 온 예술적 창조를 재검토하면서, 기계와의 공존 속에서 예술적 창조를 어떻게 재해석할 수 있는지를 논의한다. 더 나아가, AI 시대에 인간의 미적 감수성이 확장되고 심화될 수 있는 가능성을 지각자의 인지적 행위의 맥락에서 논의하고, 마지막으로 동시대 학교 예술교육의 역할에 관해 논의한다. 이러한 논의는 예술과 예술교육의 목적 및 역할과 관련한 담론에 기여할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to reexamine human artistic creation and aesthetic sensibility and to discuss the role of arts education in public school while exploring the key questions about the development of AI techniques that can be examined in the field of arts. To this end, the researcher delves into the issue of creative data shortage in AI and the conceptualization of AGI, which poses the debates between ‘creation and imitation’ as fundamental questions regarding the difference between human intelligence and machine functions. Then, the researcher discusses how human artistic creation can be reinterpreted in coexistence with machines by reexamining the artistic creation that has been considered an inherent characteristic of humans. Furthermore, in the light of the perceiver’s cognition, the researcher discusses the possibility that human aesthetic sensibility can be sophisticated in the AI era, and finally, sheds light on the role of contemporary arts education.
