Abstract
This study is to look at a method of constructing a process-oriented Korean textbook. Focusing onthe writing area, the existing Korean textbooks were critically analyzed, and a method ofconstructing textbooks faithful to the essence of process-oriented writing education was examined. When the approach for writing education is largely divided into a result-oriented approach and aprocess-oriented approach, it can be seen that the currently used elementary and secondary Koreantextbooks generally take a process-oriented approach. In general, it is composed to write a piece oftext through a series of writing processes. However, problems were drawn in several points. In sometextbooks, “good texts” were given, and after analyzing this article, they were designed to refer tothem to write a piece. This can lead to a result-oriented approach. In addition, a series of writingprocesses were emphasized, and there were many that consisted of simply going through the processwithout learning necessary in each writing process. Above all, the main problem is that theprocess-centered act of writing is viewed as a problem-solving act and a meaning-building act, andit was difficult to find textbooks that positively reflected this. Therefore, a method for making atextbook with a process-oriented approach was proposed. In the case where individual strategiesshould be taught and the case where individual strategies should be used to write a piece, a framefor the composition of the unit of the textbook was presented. In addition, a plan that can faithfullyreflect the essence of the process approach was presented for each step.
