본 연구는 녹색성장 개념을 기반으로 한 초등학교 고학년용 초등실과 통합교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 초등학생에게 적용하여 녹색성장에 대한 인식과 태도에 대한 프로그램의 교육적 의미와 효과를 검증하였다. 프로그램 개발을 위해 제 7차 및 2007 교육과정의 실과 교과서를 분석하여 추출한 녹색성장교육 내용을 토대로 환경, 생활, 기술, 경제영역에서 영역당 두 개의 학습 주제를 프로그램 내용으로 선정하였다. 그리고 개발된 프로그램은 서울시 소재 초등학교 6학년 2개 학급을 대상으로 동질통제집단 전·후 검사설계를 통하여 16차시에 걸쳐 수업을 적용하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제 7차 및 2007 실과 교육과정에서 추출한 녹색성장 관련 내용을 재구성하여 녹색성장 개념을 기반으로 한 초등실과 통합교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, 녹색성장 개념을 기반으로 한 초등실과 통합교육 프로그램 적용은 초등학생의 녹색성장에 대한 인식과 태도에 있어 긍정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 녹색성장에 대한 인식이 높은 학생일수록 녹색성장에 대한 태도도 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 개발된 프로그램을 적용하는 동안 학생들은 녹색성장 전반에 대해 많은 관심을 보였으며, 이러한 관심이 녹색성장에 대한 인식과 태도 및 실천 의지와 행동 변화에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 녹색성장 개념을 기반으로 한 초등실과 통합교육 프로그램은 초등학생들의 녹색성장에 대한 인식과 태도 함양에 긍정적인 효과를 나타내는 새로운 교육방법으로써 그 가치가 크다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 차후 초등학교의 녹색성장교육 활성화를 위하여 이와 관련된 보다 심층적인 연구 및 교수·학습 활동에 대한 후속 연구가 필요할 것으로 본다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated education program in the elementary practical arts based on green growth concept, and to investigate the influence on awareness and attitude toward green growth of 6th graders in elementary school in Seoul. To achieve the purpose, documentary and investigatory research was conducted and thereafter an integrated program was developed with the 3 stages of planning, preparation and implement. And, the experiment was made progress as two-group pretest-posttest design, and the program was applied to a class for every two hours in a week in discretionary activity class for 8 weeks. The major results of this study are as follows. First, the program was developed and applied through restructuring the green growth related contents extracted from the 7th elementary practical arts curriculum and 2007 curriculum. Second, the developed program had a positive effect on awareness and attitude towards green growth for elementary school students. Third, the developed program had a positive correlation between awareness and attitude. Fourth, through the result of a case analysis of observation, interview and portfolio, most students had an interested in green growth concept and a favorable influence on the recognition and attitude towards green growth. In conclusion, an integrated education program in the elementary practical arts based on green growth concept is applicable to the education field. Moreover, it has a positive effect on the recognition and attitude of the 6th graders towards green growth. This suggests an integrated green growth education with practical arts is meaningful as a new method of green growth education and needs to research more intensively and systematically on the professor and learning activities related to an integrated education in the elementary practical arts.
