Abstract

This article suggests ways to effectively apply the Korean language teaching and learning model. Textbooks and teacher guides for the 2015 curriculum will be applied beginning in March 2016, focusing on first and second grade students. At this point, it is necessary to look at the characteristics of the Korean language teaching and learning model and find ways to apply the teaching and learning model effectively. There are 9 models presented in the Korean language teacher 's guidebook. These models have been introduced since the revision in 1997 and have been applied to date. At the time, there were seven models, two of which were added to the course development process in 2011. The nine models include direct teaching methods, problem solving learning models, creativity development learning models, and reaction - based learning models. These models were developed around the applicability of the field rather than being developed according to specific criteria. In other words, some of these models can be called so-called procedural models, and some of them can be called target models or action models. The problem must be able to apply these models effectively. For this, it is important to choose the appropriate model. When choosing a model, the learning objectives and contents should be considered first. In addition, students should take into account their ability, teacher's interest, and classroom environment. In order to effectively apply the teaching-learning model, it is necessary to reconstruct the model. Reconstruction of a model involves not only an adjustment within one model, but also a proper combination with other models. It is also important to ensure the level of meaningful learning that occurs at each step. In the process of applying each step, it is also important to regress the step back to the previous step if necessary.
