Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the relationship between various latent classes according tochildren's strengths and difficulties, outcome variables, and influence variables. As a result of LCAapplication, the latent class for children's strengths and difficulties was classified into four finalgroups (high-risk group, internalizing problem group, externalizing problem group, adaptationgroup). Also, as a result of examining whether there was a difference in the level of schooladjustment according to the latent class, the adaptation group showed the highest level of schooladjustment, and the high-risk group experienced the most difficulty in school adjustment. As a resultof examining the variables influencing the classification of the latent class, in particular, boys weremore likely to belong to the externalizing problem group than girls, and the higher the level ofauthoritarian parenting practices, the higher the likelihood of belonging to the externalizing problemgroup. In addition, the lower the level of emotional regulation, the higher the likelihood of belongingto the internalizing problem group. The lower the level of peer attachment and teacher attachment, the higher the likelihood of belonging to the high-risk group. This study has empirical implicationsin that it identified the existence of various sub-latent classes according to children'sstrengths/difficulties, and confirmed the differences in the level of adaptation for each class. Inaddition, this study investigated the effect of gender, family environment, intrapersonal and socialenvironment variables on class classification in a more three-dimensional and integrated way. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
