유아기의 가정환경 잠재프로파일 유형에 따른 초등학교 1학년 학교적응의 차이

초록

본 연구는 유아기의 가정환경특성을 유형화하고, 이러한 유아기의 가정환경유형이 초등학교 1학년의 학교적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 7차년도와 8차년도 조사에 참여한 986개 가구를 분석하였다. 잠재프로파일분석 결과, 유아기 가정환경은 총 4개의 잠재프로파일로 분류되었으며 그 특성에 따라 관계취약･자극보통집단, 관계우수･자극보통집단, 관계보통･자극보통집단, 관계보통･자극취약집단으로 명명하였다. 회귀분석 결과, 유아기 가정환경 유형에 따라 초등학교 1학년 학교적응 수준에 차이가 있었으며, 관계우수･자극보통집단에 비해 관계취약･자극보통집단, 관계보통･자극보통집단, 관계보통･자극취약집단으로 분류된 아동의 학교적응수준이 더 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 초등학교 1학년 학교적응을 돕기 위해서는 가족관계 교육 등 가정환경 차원의 예방적 개입이 중요함을 시사한다.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify latent profiles of home environment among families with preschool-aged children, and to test their longitudinal effects on school adjustment during the transition to elementary school. We used the data from the Panel Study on Korean Children [PSKC] (7th and 8th waves). The sample consisted of 986 families with preschool-aged children at wave 7. Latent profiles analyses on the home environment among families with preschool-aged children identified four profiles: vulnerable relationship/normal stimulation, good relationship/normal stimulation, normal relationship/normal stimulation, and normal relationship/vulnerable stimulation. Latent profiles were differently associated with children’s adjustment to first grade in elementary school. The result of regression showed that the children with vulnerable relationship/ normal stimulation, normal relationship/normal stimulation and normal relationship/vulnerable stimulation had a negative effect on school adjustment than the children with good relationship/normal stimulation. The findings suggest the importance of home environment of families with preschool-aged children.
