초록

본 연구의 목적은 잠재계층분석을 적용하여 학령기 아동의 내재화 및 외현화 문제에 대한 잠재계층은 어떠한 유형으로 나타나는지 확인하고, 지도감독, 온정, 비일관성, 과잉기대, 과잉간섭, 합리적 설명, 방임, 학대의 부모양육행동은 분류된 잠재계층 별 내재화 및 외현화 문제를 예측하는지를 알아보는데 있다. 분석을 위해 한국아동․청소년패널조사의 초1 패널 자료 중 2차 년도에서 6차 년도까지의 자료를 활용하였다. 대상자는 2,260명으로 초등학교 2학년, 초등학교 3학년, 초등학교 4학년, 그리고 초등학교 6학년에 해당하는 학령기 아동이다. 연구결과는 첫째, 내재화 문제에 대한 잠재계층은 낮은 군, 높은 군, 낮은-증가 군 및 높은-감소 군의 4가지 유형으로 분류될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외현화 문제는 낮은 군, 빠른 증가-감소군, 높은 감소-증가군, 낮은-증가군, 그리고 높은 군의 5개 잠재계층으로 분류될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 지도감독, 애정의 수준이 높을수록 내재화 문제의 정도가 낮은-증가군, 높은-감소군, 혹은 높은 군에 비해 낮은 군에 포함될 가능성이 더 높았다. 넷째, 부모의 지도감독과 애정 수준이 높을수록 외현화 문제의 정도가 낮은-증가군, 빠른 증가-감소군, 높은 감소-증가군 및 높은 군에 비해 낮은 군에 해당될 가능성이 더 높았다. 그리고 과잉간섭, 학대적 양육 수준이 높을수록 낮은 군보다 높은 감소-증가군에 속할 가능성이 더 높았다. 연구결과를 선행연구 결과를 통해 논의하고 시사점 및 추후연구 방향을 제언하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the number of latent classes of internalizing and externalizing problems among elementary school children, and to examine whether parenting behaviors were differently associated with each latent class. Study participants were 2,260 elementary school children from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades who participated in the 2nd through 6th waves of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(2010 KCYPS-grade 1 panel). Data were analyzed using latent class analysis and multi-logistic regression models. Results were as follows. First, the latent classes of internalizing problems were classified into four types: low stable, low-increasing, high-decreasing, high stable. Second, the latent classes of externalizing problems were classified into five types: low stable, low-increasing, high increasing-decreasing high decreasing-increasing and high stable. Third, in terms of parenting, high levels of parental monitoring and affection were more likely to predict children's internalizing problems as being classified into low group as compared to low-increasing or high stable groups. Fourth, higher levels of parental monitoring and affection were more likely to predict children’s externalizing problems as being classified into low stable group as compared to low-increasing, high increasing-decreasing, high decreasing-increasing, or high stable group. High levels of over-control and abuse were more likely to predict children’s externalizing problems as being classified into high decreasing-increasing group as compared to low stable group. Implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
