초록

Revolution inevitably results in the replacement of norms and standards in all spheres of society, including language. In the early years of the socialist revolution, various heterogeneous elements were mixed into the Russian language. The spread of social and regional dialects, neologisms, abbreviations, borrowings, and naming new phenomena and objects formed a completely new field of language. However, as the revolution's enthusiasm subsided and the system stabilized, it was necessary to establish standard language as the basis for the formation of a new national identity; this was needed in order to bind the peoples of a multiracial nation and as a mechanism to reinforce the ruling system. In particular, in the totalitarian state of the Soviet Union, standard language was revered as a ritual language and, as a result, needed to be strictly normalized. Accordingly, the standardization of language tended to be quite conservative and puristic, which legalized censorship and control over the use of language.
