Abstract
This study aimed to predict musculoskeletal injuries through the correlation between combat fitness and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) in 20’s male soldiers (Age : 20.5±0.99yrs, Height : 174.2±7.46cm, Weight : 70.63±10.41kg, n=15). The five combat physical fitness component and the scores of seven FMS and the correlations were analyzed. As a result, among the combat physical fitness factors, the 240m shuttle run showed a significant correlation with full-length circuit exercise, leg tucks, 3km running, and push-ups, and showed a result very close to statistical significance with push-ups(p=.054). However, no correlation was found between the combat physical fitness factors and individual FMS scores. The reason for the lack of correlation is thought to be that the subjects were members of the same platoon group who had undergone long-term barracks training and combat training, and thus the group had a homogeneous group. Therefore, it is suggested that improving cardiopulmonary endurance is important.
