17～19세기 동아시아, 한․중․일 간의 지식교류 양상 ―‘이성적 대화’의 열림을 주목해서

Abstract

I focus on 'Reasonable Dialogue' through reviewing the exchange of knowledge among East Asian countries during 17th century to 19th century in this essay. I think 'Reasonable Dialogue' can be a keyword for specifying extensive issues about my essay. It can be realized by the encounter of literati. In pre-modern East Asian world, within the Classical-Chinese cultural sphere, the exchange of knowledge among literati had been continued. Forming from Chinese-centered system, traditional knowledge in Classical-Chinese cultural area is mostly one-sided. Therefore, 'Reasonable Dialogue' is hardly materialized within traditional knowledge system. Since the reciprocity of knowledge circulation is the fundamental matter for 'Reasonable Dialogue,' it only can be materialized upon the base of humane understanding and friendship. Just prior to the globalization, during 17th century to 19th century, through 'stirring tribunal system,' East Asian world preserve its traditional world order and 'Reasonble Dialogue' can be opened its first step because of this epochal transition.
