Abstract

Vietnam and China have a long and special diplomatic relationship. Vietnam have maintained a long-term tribute relationship with China in politics, and have been deeply influenced by Chinese character culture and Chinese literature. The Vietnamese dynasties frequently sent envoys to China. The envoys wrote many poems in Chinese on the journey to China's capital, and these poems were later assembled into the so-called "燕行錄 (Yanxinglu)". "燕行錄" has become one of the most valuable documents in Vietnam, which has been attracted much attention by scholars at home and abroad. The publication of the book "越南漢文燕行文文獻集成" has created convenient conditions for the study of 燕行錄and spawned a lot of valuable research. Recently, we have discovered some unlisted poems, which provide new materials for future research. This paper first summarizes the research results of 燕行錄, and then expounds the discovery and collection of new materials and makes a prospect for future research.
