Lobbying Forces in the Korean Won - Japanese Yen Exchange Rate

초록

본 논문은 국제무역과 관련된 이익집단의 로비압력이 한국 원화 - 일본 엔화환율에 영향을 미친다는 것을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 산업연관표 자료를 이용한 로비압력의 대리변수를 사용하여, 한국의 경우 수출증가율이 과거 2분기부터 4분기까지의 이동평균보다 하락하였을 때 수출업자의 압력이 작동하고 있음을 발견하였다. 그러나 수입업자의 압력은 검증되지 않았다. 이러한결과는 여타 정부정책과 마찬가지로 환율정책에 있어서도 관료의 재량이 적절한 책무성과 함께 동반되어야 함을 시사한다.
