체육교사의 교육열정 소진 및 회복에 관한 근거이론 연구

이 연구의 목적은 교육열정이 소진된 체육교사들이 열정을 다시 회복할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 10명의 체육교사들과 순차적으로 개방형 면담 및 반구조화 면담을 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 근거이론의 분석 절차인 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 과정을 거쳐 결과를 도출하였다. 체육교사의 교육열정 소진 유형은 업무에 의한 소진, 상호작용에 의한 소진, 그리고 업무 및 상호작용에 의한 소진으로 나타났다. 업무에 의한 소진은 ‘과중한 업무’, ‘불합리한 관행’, ‘업무 중심 학교 문화’의 하위 범주가, 상호작용에 의한 소진은 ‘학생의 부정적 영향’, ‘동료교사와의 갈등’의 하위 범주가 확인되었다. 업무 및 상호작용에 의한 소진은 앞의 두 가지 유형이 복합적으로 나타났다. 그리고 이러한 요인들의 결과로 ‘교직에 대한 회의감’, ‘의욕 상실’, ‘심신 쇠약’의 소진 현상이 나타났다. 교육열정 회복 유형은 관계 중재형, 자기 성찰형, 혼합형으로 나타났다. 관계 중재형은 ‘동료교사의 긍정적 영향’, ‘근무 환경의 변화’, ‘사회적 지지’의 범주가 확인되었고, 자기 성찰형은 ‘자기 성찰 및 학생을 위한 노력’, ‘휴식 및 새로운 도전 의지’의 범주가 나타났다. 혼합형은 앞의 두 가지 유형이 복합적으로 드러났다. 그리고 이러한 요인들의 결과로 ‘활력’, ‘보람’, ‘행복’의 긍정적 정서를 경험하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical framework for physical education teachers who have burned out their enthusiasm for education to regain their passion. To do this, we conducted open and semi - structured interviews with 10 PE teachers in succession. The collected data were analyzed through the process of open coding, axis coding, and selection coding. The type of burnout of physical education teachers was due to burnout by work, burnout by interaction, and burnout by work and interaction. The burnout by work appeared to be subcategories of 'heavy work', 'unreasonable practices', and 'work-oriented school culture'. The burnout by interaction was found to be subcategories of 'negative effects of students' and 'conflict with fellow teachers'. Work and interaction were all categories appeared. As a result of these factors, 'skepticism about work', 'loss of motivation', 'burnout of mind and body' has appeared. The type of education enthusiasm recovery was relationship type, self-examination type, mixed type. Relationship types were identified as 'positive effects of peer teachers', 'change of working environment', and 'social support'. The type of self-examination appeared in the categories of 'self-reflection and effort for students', 'relaxation and new challenge will'. The mixed types were all categories appeared. As a result of these factors, physical education teachers experienced positive emotions of 'vitality', ' be worthwhile' and 'happiness'.
