This paper is to investigate alternation pattern and leveling of the interrogative pronoun meuseu in Middle Korean. In section 2, I examine distributions and alternation of meuseu in Middle Korean. Also, I show the distributions of historical change of meuseu. The interrogative meuseu has been changed from the 15th century to Modern Korean. In section 3, I organize the historical change of allomorph and alternation pattern of meuseu. As a result, there is leveling we can explain the historical change of allomorph and alternation pattern of meuseu.
Abstract
