민간정원 ‘화수목’의 유니버설디자인 평가 분석

연구배경: 최근 사회적으로 정원 활성화의 기대치가 높아지고 있다. 이에 정원 역할의 범주가 커져 공공공간으로 가치를 더하고 있다. 정원을 공공을 위한 시설로서 역할 확장을 하려면 공공성의 가치 실현이 필요하다. 정원을 이용하는 모든 이용자, 즉 일반인뿐만 아니라 노인, 어린이, 장애인 등 다양한 계층의 사람들이 이용함에 불편함이 없어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 민간정원 중 최초로 등록된 충남 민간정원 1호 ‘화수목’을 대상으로 공공성을 갖추고 있는지 조사𐄁분석하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구의 방법은 문헌 연구와 현장평가로 진행한다. 문헌 연구를 통해 이론적 바탕이 되는 유니버설디자인을 이해하고, 천안의 유니버설디자인 체크리스트를 토대로 민간정원에 적합한 평가항목을 선별하여 현장평가를 진행한다. 연구결과: 천안시 유니버설디자인 가이드라인을 토대로 본 연구의 범위에 맞는 평가항목을 선정하여 현장평가를 진행하고, 천안시 유니버설디자인의 주요지침과 Mace의 유니버설디자인 4가지 원리를 재해석하여 편의성, 수용성, 접근성, 안전성, 지속성의 5가지 원칙을 도출하여 분석 내용을 정리하였다. 그 결과, 현재 본 연구의 대상지는 모든 사람이 이용하기에 기능적으로 미흡함이 많은 것으로 조사되었다. 결론: 모든 사람이 이용함에 불편함이 없도록 시설 및 서비스에 대한 개선이 필요하며, 앞으로 정원에서 모든 이용자가 공평하게 휴식과 여가활동을 할 수 있도록 시설 및 환경 계획 시 적용될 수 있는 설계 기준 및 평가 자료가 시급하다.
Abstract
Background: Recently, social expectations are growing in the garden activity. The role and scope of the garden there is considered as a public space large value. Public space is required to encompass the value of public service. Users of public gardens shouldn’t have any inconvenientto use them, be they general public of different levels like elder people, children or people with disabilities. This research will investigate and analyze for the first time, the No1. private garden Chungnam registered as ‘HWASUMOK’, as an universal target. Methods: The method of the present study was conducted by the study of literature related and case studies. Through a literature review and understand the universal design that is based on theory, based on the literature review and the understanding of the Cheonan study of universal design concepts. Result: Five principles of the Cheonan UD select an item for this study as a reference to proceed with the investigation, and reinterprets the main guidelines and Universal Design 4 principles of the Mace of the Cheonan, universal design, usability, receptivity, accessibility, safety and sustainability It was obtained and the analysis were summarized in five principles. As a result, the destination of this study is lacking a lot of functionality to use for everyone. Conclusion: The facilities and services need to improve for all the users in order to be more convenient and easy to use. There is a strong need for design criteria and materials assessment with the intention of improves the facilities and environmental plan for recreational activities for the different users of the garden.
