In this thesis, I researched what meaning does the publishing of phyojun gugeu daesajeon have with respect to standard language policy and standard language itself. Further more, with this point I checked up problems of standard language that is defined in phyojun gugeu daesajeon, and I suggested solutions to resolve that problems. The most serious problem is that native words absolutely lack in phyojun gugeu daesajeon. And relatively, sino-Korean and loan word is so much. As many person already have suggested, the first solution is to list dialects as many as possible in phyojun gugeu daesajeon. Because most of dialects are native words. As the best way to accomplish this, I suggested the way that we list such dialects through web dictionary. Secondly, we need to improve the recognition of dialect. In other words, we need to make many people think that dialect is also very important and precious cultural assets. I think that this is possible through education.
