「をワカル」の使われ方に関する一考察 ─「ワカル」の他動詞化傾向を中心に─

Abstract

In modern Japanese , ‘ワカル’ is supposed to be an intransitive. Therefore, the word class of ‘ワカル’ is defined as intransitive in general dictionaries. However, some scholars consider ‘ワカル’ as both transitive and intransitive verb. There are many examples of using case particle ‘ヲ’ to show an object while using ‘ワカル’ in daily life. According to the survey by Corpus, plenty of such examples have been showed up since1990s. Then how should we view this phenomenon? In this thesis, it analyzes the formation process of ‘ワカル’ by its transitive usage and complies a statistics of actual usage of ‘を ワカル’ by Corpus. It also analyzes and considerates specifically in what kind of text ‘を ワカル’ is commonly used transitively. Through the analysis and consideration, it leads to such conclusion: Overall, ‘を ワカル’ is used much less than ‘が ワ カ ル’ as well as not standardized. And when it comes with auxiliary verb, ‘が ワ カ ル’ is used more frequently than ‘を ワ カ ル’. It is supposedly because the intransitive ‘ワカル’ and the auxiliary verb following it are used as a transitive collocation. In addition, based on the formation process and the meaning of ‘ワカル’, it is considered that there is a psychological factor that people want to use it as a transitive verb. While, it will be stated specifically on other opportunity for this subject.
