부산․경남권역별(부산광역시, 경상남도) 제조업 부문생산성 수렴가설 검증 및 결정요인 분석

본 논문은 부산경남권역의 지역총생산에 큰 영향을 미치는 제조업부문의 노동생산성을 분석대상으로 지역패널회귀분석을 이용한 절대적 및 조건부 수렴여부를 살펴 본 후, 제조업 부문 생산성 결정요인을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 부산지역은 절대적 수렴 가설은 수렴되나 조건부 수렴가설은 수렴되지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 경남지역은 양 가설 모두 기각되어 수렴되는 것으로 나타났다. 생산성 결정요인분석결과를 보면, 인적자본의 경우 부산지역은 정의 관계로 나타나는 반면, 경남지역은 부의 관계를 보임에 따라 인적자본의 역할이 제대로 작동되지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 정부지출변수의 경우 부산지역은 생산성제고에 큰 영향을 미치는 반면, 경남지역은 정부지출변수에 의한 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 연구개발변수의 경우는 부산과 경남지역 모두 생산성제고에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
In this paper, we analysed the absolute and conditional convergency hypothesis and the determinants of productivity in manufacturing industries from 2000 to 2009 with Pusan and Kyungnam regions(Pusan, Kyungnam) by using panel analysis. In terms of convergency hypothesis test, Pusan reject the null hypothesis(H0) of the absolute convergency hypothesis but doesn't reject the conditional convergency hypothesis. For the Kyungnam, both of the absolute and conditional convergency hypothesis are rejected so that Kyungnam province converged to the steady-state equilibrium. In addition, the results of the determinants of the labor productivity in manufacturing industry show that human capital does affect to the labor productivity in Pusan but doesn't affect to labor productivity in Kyungnam Province. For both of regions the role of capital and location variables have affect to labor productivity seriously. Hence, for the total factor productivity, the government has to revise the balanced regional development policy to develop regional manufacturing industries with R&D activities.
