대인 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 화법 교육 개선 방향

이 연구는 대인 의사소통의 본질에 대한 고찰을 토대로 화법 교육이 주목하여 나아가야 할 방향을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 대인 의사소통은 두 사람 이상의 사람 사이에서 일어나는 상호작용이다. 이러한 점에서 참여자는 대인 의사소통의 핵심을 이루고 있으며, 모든 대인 의사소통은 참여자의 고유한 개인의 특징을 반영하고 있다. 교육과정을 토대로 현재 이루어지고 있는 화법 교육의 양상을 분석한 결과, 화법의 표준화된 원리나 원칙, 절차나 방법에 대한 지식에 대한 내용에 비해 화자나 청자의 고유한 특징에 대한 이해를 다루는 내용이 현저히 비중이 적음을 밝혔다. 이후 대인 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 화법 교육의 방향에 대해서 논의하고, ‘대인 지각하기’나 ‘정체성 협상하기’ 등과 같은 구체적인 교육 내용을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to suggest the way to improve listening and speaking education based on a theoretical consideration of interpersonal communication. No one can do interpersonal communication by oneself. It takes at least two. So participants are very important parts of interpersonal communication and every communication is strongly influenced by each individual uniqueness. I analyze current listening and speaking education in school through analysis of curriculum. There are far fewer contents which help understanding of participant’s unique characteristic than principles of speech or knowledges about speech procedure and technique. And then, I discuss the way to improve listening and speaking education for interpersonal communication competence: personal perception, negotiating identities.
