This study aims to analyze the historical content of Qing Dynasty in a high school textbook published by People's Education Press under the new curriculum History Course Standard System. Chapter I identified the basic direction of describing the history of the Qing Dynasty in the History Course Standard in order to understand the fundamental viewpoint of history textbook edition. Chapter Ⅱ analyzed the history of the Qing Dynasty in the current history textbook. Specifically, we chose three topics, which were prosperity under the reign of Emperors Kang‐hsi, Yongzheng, and Ch’ien‐lung, social crises, revolution and modernization, and analyzed contents related to the topics in the textbook under the History Course Standard.
