호굉 철학의 경학 기초 - 지언의 춘추학과 역학 -

초록
본고는 호굉 철학의 경학 기초를 제시하며, 호굉의 철학 체계를 기존 연구와 달리해명해 보기 위한 예비 작업이다. 호굉의 경학 기초는 춘추학의 가학 성취를 포괄하여 「건괘」 「단전」의 4가지 명제로 통합, 귀결한 것이다. 호굉 철학이 호안국의 학술에서 큰 영향을 받았고 호안국의 학술이 이정 철학의 영향을 모두 받았지만, 특히 정이 춘추학과 역학의 의미를 본고는 되짚어 보았다. 이정, 호안국, 호굉의 경학 맥락을 재구한 결과, 호굉 철학의 기존 연구에 대한 반성과 새로운 관점의 의미를 반추해 보았다. 주희의 지언의의 이래, 심성론 위주로호굉 철학을 이해하려는 경향을 반성하면서, 현대의 모종삼 식 이해 방식의 장단점도 재고해 보았다. 본고는 모종삼 식 ‘도덕형이상학’ 구도로만 파악하기에는 호굉 철학의 범위가 크다는 점을 인식하고, 호굉 철학을 ‘도덕과 역사의 형이상학’이라 고쳐 규정할 수도있지만 그보다 헤겔이 칸트의 ‘도덕성’을 비판하며 제시한 ‘인륜’의 범위에 해당한다는 점에 주목한다. 따라서 송명유학도 ‘도덕형이상학’의 발견과 구성으로 파악하기보다 ‘인륜사’ 또는 ‘인륜의 철학’ 관점에서 재구성해 봄직하다는 결론을 얻었다.
Abstract
This essay is an examination of the fundamentals of Hu Hong’s philosophy, which reveals that he integrated his philosophical thesis by verifying two Chinese Classics, The Book of Annals (春秋) and The Book of Changes (周易), especially by several sentences of the Tuan Commentary on the hexagram Qian. Hu Hong, an eminent philosopher who lived in the transition period of Northern Song to Southern Song, inherited the Cheng brothers’ philosophy and Classical study from his father Hu An-guo, a famous exegetist of The Book of Annals. But the Classical character in his philosophy has been ignored by many scholars since Zhu Xi made it public through his Zhi-Yan Yi-Yi. Actually, Zhu Xi misunderstood his philosophy as the punctuation of mentality, so this essay not only reflects on their tendency, but also reconsiders the pros and cons of modern misunderstanding of his philosophy. This essay recognizes his philosophy itself that is too wide to know only relying on moral metaphysics like Mou Zong-san's formula. Though his philosophy has characters that are able to be defined as moral metaphysics, as Hegel criticized Kant's morality concept as a modern one, it has to be understood as a philosophy of Sittlichkeit.
