중국인 학습자의 한국어 단모음 발음 양상 연구 - L1 영향으로 인한 단모음 조음 위치 변화를 중심으로 -

본 연구에서는 중국인 학습자의 한국어 단모음 발음에서 나타나는 오류를 시간에 따른 조음 위치의 이동이라는 측면에서 조망하였다. 학습자의 단모음 발음(한국어 단모음 /ㅣ, ㅔ, ㅐ, ㅏ, ㅓ, ㅗ, ㅜ, ㅡ/ 와 중국어 단모음 /a, o, e, i, u, y/ ) 양상을 음성적으로 분석하였으며, 학습자의 L1 발음과의 대조를 통해 오류의 원인을 탐색하였다. 수집된 음성자료의 음향음성학적 분석을 통해, 학습자의 단모음 포먼트 f1, f2의 값을 5개 지점에서 측정하였고, 그 결과는 /ㅔ/를 제외한 한국어 단모음 발음에서 피험자들의 모음 f1과 f2가 시간의 흐름에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 중국인 피험자들의 중국어 단모음 발음에서 /ɤ/를 제외한 /a, o, i, u, y/의 f1과 f2가 시간의 흐름에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 이를 통해 피험자의 모국어 발음 습관(조음 위치 변화)으로 인해 한국어 단모음의 발음에서 부정적인 전이가 발생한 것으로 해석하였다. 본고에서 중국인 학습자가 한국어 단모음을 발음할 때 나타나는 조음 위치의 변화를 모음 삼각도에 반영하여 도식화한 것이 향후 한국어 발음 교육에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study explores by the learners of Korean with a focus on students on This study examines the movement of the articulatory organ while pronouncing Korean monophthongs among learners whose L1 is the Chinese language. The definition and method of using the articulatory organ differs between the Chinese and Korean languages. When Chinese students who are learning Korean pronounce Korean monophthongs, some of them are perceived through changes in the articulatory organ as the continua of two vowels. In this study, I observed the pronunciation of Korean and Chinese monophthongs by Chinese students who are learning Korean, and attempted to compare differences in the movements of the articulatory organ by measuring formant f1 and f2. The result of observing changes in the articulatory organ shows that Chinese students who are learning Korean pronounced Korean monophthongs /ㅣ, ㅐ, ㅏ, ㅓ, ㅗ, ㅜ, ㅡ/ and the Chinese monophthongs /a, o, i, u, y/ with the same movement trend in the articulatory organ. The study findings provide useful implications for teaching and learning single vowel pronunciation by controlling the articulatory organ and ensuring it remains unchanged.
