본 연구는 교사가 전개하는 수업활동과 그 경험에 대한 교사의 생각을 내러티브 탐구 형식으로 논의한 것이다. 수업연구 분야에서 수업활동에 대한 교사의 경험과 생각을 연구하려는 노력이 강조되고 있다. 교사는 자신의 수업 경험을 이야기하고 반성해보면서 그 속에서 올바른 수업에 대하여 나름대로의 지식을 형성해나간다. 이 사실은 장차 예비 교사들의 교사교육 문제에 중요한 시사점을 제공해주는 대목이다. 이러한 취지에서 본 연구는 내러티브 탐구를 통하여 현장 교사들을 대상으로 수업 경험에 대한 의미와 이야기를 구성해봄으로써 교사들의 실천적 지식 형성 과정을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 교사들의 내러티브를 통한 실천적 지식의 형성은 새로운 교사교육의 필요성을 요청한다고 볼 수 있다. 이제 수업 연구는 교사의 내러티브와 실천적 지식에 초점을 두어야 한다.
Abstract
Narrative Inquiry into Instructional Activities and Experiences of Teachers Nowadays there are meaningful tendencies to teacher's narrative and practical knowledge in instructional research. Teacher's narrative plays a key role in understanding instructional experience of teachers. The construction of narrative meaning of teacher is activated by instructional context and self story about the instructional activity. On the basis of narrative meaning, the purpose of this study is to search the instructional activities and experiences of teachers. Teacher's idea and conception of instructional experiences influence the mode of teaching and learning in meaningful ways. Practical knowledge built in teacher's narrative is constructed through 'reflection in action' in instructional context and praxis. Teachers think theoretical knowledge does not fully function in the terrain of the professional world of teaching. They need other types of knowledge in teaching context. Now we should pay attention to the direction and task for designing teacher education curriculum on the basis of narrative meaning.
