대학생의 도덕지향과 딜레마의 내용, 성별 및 개방성의 관계

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 도덕지향과 도덕 딜레마의 내용, 성별, 개방성의 관계를 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 연구대상자는 149명(남자, 여자 83명)의 대학생이다. 본 연구를 위해 Crandall 등(1999)이 고안한 2가지의 도덕 딜레마를 이용하였다. 자료처리를 위해 paired-t검증, 일원변량분석, 교차분석, 상관분석이 실시되었다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 딜레마의 내용에 따라 개인의 도덕지향에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 성별에 따라 도덕지향에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 다만 대리모 딜레마에서 여성이 남성보다 배려지향이 높게 나타났다. 그러므로 딜레마의 내용과 성별을 함께 고려할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 개방성은 배려지향과 정적 상관이 있었으나, 개방성과 정의지향 간에는 유의한 상관이 없었다. 후속연구는 딜레마의 내용이 정의지향 혹은 배려지향의 맥락으로 치우치지 않고, 균형이 맞도록 표준화된 딜레마의 개발이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among dilemma content, gender, openness, and moral orientations of undergraduates. The subjects were 149(males 66, females 83)undergraduates. The two moral dilemmas were used in the present study were adopted from Crandall et al(1999). The data were processed by paired t-test, one-way ANOVA, chi-square and Pearson's product correlation. The results of the study were as follows; First, moral orientations were significant difference in dilemma content. Second, moral orientations were not significant difference in gender but female participants evidenced more degree of caring orientation than male in dilemma of child custody decision, so we would be proper consideration gender and dilemma content together. Third, there was a significant positive correlation between openness and caring orientation, but there was not significant correlation between openness and justice orientation. We need to develop standardized dilemmas that the content is included in justice and caring contexts equally.
