권력, 권위, 정당성 개념은 정치 현상을 이해하는데 필요한 핵심 개념이다. 따라서 정치교육에서 권력, 권위, 정당성이 무엇인지 제대로, 정확히 가르치는 것이 중요하다. 이 글은 권력, 권위, 정당성에관한 이론을 살펴보고 이에 기초하여 고등학교 정치교육에서 권력, 권위, 정당성 교육이 현재 어떻게이루어지고 있는지를 살펴본 다음, 바람직한 대안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 이 글은 몇 가지작업을 수행한다. 첫째, 권력, 권위, 정당성이 무엇인지 학문적 담론의 핵심 내용을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 둘째, 권력, 권위, 정당성 교육이 고등학교 사회과에서 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 현황을 살펴보고문제점을 도출하기 위해 고등학교 정치 교육과정과 교과서 내용분석을 시도하였다. 셋째, 현재 학교현장에서 가르치고 있는 권력, 권위, 정당성 교육의 문제점을 극복하기 위한 바람직한 대안을 제시하였다. 대안은 권력, 권위, 정당성을 고등학교 정치교육에서 어떻게 가르쳐야 하고 무엇을 중심으로 가르쳐야 하는지에 초점이 맞추어져 있다.
Abstract
Political power, authority, legitimacy are the key concepts in proper and precise understandingabout political phenomena. Therefore, it is important to teach what are those concepts and how toteach them properly and precisely in secondary school's politics Education. This paper has mainlythree research aims. First, this paper reviews and summarizes the core contents of academic discourseon political power, authority, and legitimacy. Second, This paper analyzes high school curriculumrelated to the concepts of political power, authority, and legitimacy and derives problemsand fallacies from the above analysis. Third, this paper suggests proper concepts and contents ofthe education for political power, authority, and legitimacy in High School.
