Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the transition of various latent classes of longitudinal development of adolescent aggression and depression using LT-GMM. As a result of the LT-GMM analysis, the latent classes of aggression consisted of high-increase group(11.3%), middle-slight decrease group(56.0%) and low-decrease group(32.7%). The latent classes of depression consisted of low-increase group(48.1%), middle-slight decrease group(44.8%) and high-decrease group(7.1%). Especially, adolescents belonging to the low-decrease group in aggression were more likely to belong to the low-increase group of depression, and adolescents of the high-increase group in aggression to the high-decrease group of depression. Finally, multinomial logistic analysis showed that adolescents of the high-increase group in aggression were more likely to be transferred to the high-decrease group of depression when they were male, had low academic achievement, low self-esteem, and poor friendship. This study provided a basis for the intervention of maladjustment problems of adolescents by dynamically and integratively approaching comorbidity of adolescent aggression and depression.
