영유아 자위행위에 관한 부모 성교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과:의사소통 이론을 기반으로

본 연구의 목적은 영유아의 자위행위를 중심으로 부모를 위한 성교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 영유아 자위행위에 관한 부모 성교육 프로그램을 의사소통 이론에 기반하여 지식 및 대처 방법의 두 가지 영역으로 구성하여 개발하였다. 서울 및 수도권에 소재한 어린이집 3곳에서 영유아 부모를 모집하여, 실험집단 21명과 대조집단 21명으로 나누어 집단 간 효과 차이를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 영유아 자위행위에 관한 부모 성교육 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 부모의 성태도, 부모-자녀 의사소통, 부모효능감이 유의미하게 향상되었고, 심리적 통제는 유의미하게 감소하였다. 또한 프로그램에 참여한 영유아 부모들은 본 프로그램이 영유아 성적 발달에 대한 이해 증가, 영유아 자녀의 자위행위에 대한 인식 개선, 영유아 자녀의 자위행위에 대한 대처 방법 숙지의 효과를 가지는 것으로 평가하였다. 이상의 내용을 종합해보면 영유아 자위행위에 관한 부모 성교육 프로그램은 영유아 자녀를 둔 부모가 영유아 자녀의 성 발달과 그에 따른 자위행위에 대한 이해를 도모하고 이에 대해 적절히 반응하도록 도울 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop and apply a sex education program for parents focusing on the masturbation behavior of infants to verify the effects. In order to achieve this research purpose, a sex education program for parents about infant masturbation was developed in two areas: knowledge and response methods based on communication theory. Parents of infants were recruited from three daycare centers located in Seoul and the metropolitan area, divided into 21 in the experimental group and 21 in the control group, to verify the difference in effects between groups. As a result of the study, the experimental group that conducted a sexual education program for parents on infant masturbation significantly improved parental sexual attitude, parent-child communication, and parental efficacy, and psychological control significantly decreased compared to the control group. In addition, parents of infants who participated in the program evaluated that this program had the effect of increasing understanding of infant sexual development, improving infants' awareness of masturbation, and knowing how to cope with infants' masturbation. Summarizing the above, the sexual education program for parents on infant masturbation is significant in that it can help parents with infants to understand and respond appropriately to the sexual development of infants and toddlers and the resulting masturbation behavior.
