한국어 교육에서 하브루타 교수-학습법의 적용 가능성 모색

한국어 교육은 1990년대 중후반부터 의사소통식 접근법을 중심적인 교수학습법으로 도입하여 운영하면서 큰 성과를 이루어 왔으나 이론적 으로 연구되어 오는 교수방법과 현장에서 학습자들이 경험하는 교수학 습방법은 긴밀한 관계를 갖지 못하는 경우가 많았다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 학습 과정 중에 말로 설명해보는 하브루타를 도입 하면 학습자가 학습의 주체가 되어 자신의 학습을 점검, 확인하며 그 과정에서 완전한 학습과 습득이 이루어질 것으로 보았다. 본 연구는 학습자 주도의 교수학습 방법 중 하나인 하브루타를 한국 어 교육에 도입하여 한국어 교육에서의 적용 가능성을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 한국어 교육에는 아직 도입되지 않은 하브 루타를 소개하고 한국어 교육에서 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 하브루타를 한국어 교육에 적용하기 위한 첫 단계의 연구로 읽기 수업에 질문 만들기 하브루타를 적용하였고 수업 후 학습자이 만든 질 문지와 수업에 대한 의견을 조사하여 한국어 교육에의 하브루타 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.
Abstract
Korean language education has achieved significant results since the mid to late 1990s by introducing a communicative approach as a central teaching- learning method, but the teaching method that has been theoretically studied and the method that has been experienced by learners in the classroom have not been closely related. To complement this, the study considered that the introduction of Havruta, where learners explain what they have learned in their own words during the course of studying, would make them the main body of learning, checking and verifying their own language acquisition. As a result, they will accomplish complete language acquisition in the process. This study aims to explore the suitability of Havruta, one of the learner- driven teaching methods, within the Korean language education system. To achieve this goal, this study will examine Havruta, and suggest related methods for the application. In addition, the Havruta method that places an emphasis of question formation was experimented in a reading class as the first stage in the research for applying Havruta to a Korean classroom environment. After the reading class, the questions created by the learners and the feedback about the class were reviewed and it confirmed that Korean language education system would benefit from the Havruta method.
