이 논문은 먼저 『그대의 차가운 손』론을 표방한다. 그리고 이 소설에서 결국 우울증의 상호 주체적 치유 기제의 알레고리를 통찰하므로 정신분석학적 비평론이다. 이 논문은 구체적으로 『그대의 차가운 손』이 재현하는 우울증의 발현, 극복 노력, 치유 기제를 탐색한다. 이를 통해 소설이 정신현상의 점진적인 성숙을 핍진하게 알레고리화 한다는 점을 밝힌다. 이 논문이 특별히 통찰하는 것은 다음의 두 가지이다. 첫째는 자아를 잃어버리는 우울증과 보존하려는 강박증을 개념적으로 뚜렷이 구분함으로, 이 소설이 재현하는 정신현상의 핍진한 알레고리를 뚜렷이 구조화하는 것이다. 둘째는 프로이트, 라캉 계통의 심층심리학을 전거로 소설이 재현한 우울증의 발현뿐 아니라 우울증과 강박증의 교유, 우울증의 상호 주체적 치유 기제를 명백히 분석하는 것이다. 이는 소설의 서사가 점진적으로 재현하는 정신현상의 치유 기제를 한층 긍정적으로 보게 할 것이다. 본론에서는 ‘자아를 잃어버리는 우울증의 발현 기제’의 알레고리와, ‘자아를 재획득하려는 강박증의 극복 노력 기제’의 알레고리와, ‘우울증의 상호 주체적인 치유 기제’의 알레고리를 순차적으로 탐색하면서 초자아를 대타자로 전화시키는 정신현상의 성숙을 들여다본다. 이는 주체가 세계를 기표로 전유하려는 욕망을 넘어서 기표로 전유할 수 없는 욕망인 죽음 충동을 자각해 “사라진 기표”가 담지하는 대타자를 향유하게 되는 지난한 노정을 뜻한다. 이를 통해 이 논문은 초기 소설에 속하는 『그대의 차가운 손』부터 향후 면면히 이어지는, 타자의 고통과 죽음에 더욱 감응하게 되는 작가적 편력의 실마리를 탐색한다고 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This paper first means the theory of Your Cold Hands. And it is a psychoanalytic critique because it ultimately examines the allegory of the mutually subjective healing mechanism of depression in this novel. This paper specifically explores the onset, overcoming efforts, and healing mechanisms of depression as represented in Your Cold Hands. Through this, it reveals that the novel vividly allegorizes the gradual maturation of mental phenomena. This paper has two special insights. First, it clearly structures the allegory of mental phenomena represented in this novel by conceptually distinguishing clearly between depression that loses the ego and obsessive-compulsive disorder that seeks to preserve it. Second, based on the depth psychology of Freud and Lacan, it clearly analyzes not only the generation of depression but also the interaction between depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the mutually subjective healing mechanism of depression, which the novel represents. This will allow us to view the healing mechanism of the mental phenomenon that the narrative of the novel gradually represents more positively. In the main text, we sequentially explore the allegory of the “generation mechanism of depression that loses the ego”, the allegory of the “overcoming mechanism of obsessive-compulsive disorder to reacquire the ego”, and the allegory of the “mutually subjective healing mechanism of depression”, thereby looking into the maturation of the mental phenomenon that transforms the superego into the Other(Autre). This means the arduous journey in which the subject goes beyond the desire to monopolize the world as a signifier and becomes aware of the desire that cannot be monopolized as a signifier, that is, the death drive, and enjoys the Other contained in the “disappeared signifier” finally. Through this, this paper can be seen as exploring the thread of the author’s journey which continues from the early novel Your Cold Hands, to the future in which she sympathizes with the pain and death of the other.
