이 연구는 문제행동으로 인해 학급의 또래 급우들과 원만한 관계를 맺지 못해 따돌림을 당하거나 상호작용에 어려움을 지니고 있던 3명의 발달장애 학생을 대상으로 학급차원에서 일과에 대한 기능평가를 토대로 긍정적 행동지원 전략을 개발 적용하여, 학생들의 행동과 학생에 대한 또래들의 상호작용 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 면담과 관찰을 이용한 문제행동의 기능평가 후 개발된 가설을 토대로 중재계획을 수립하였고, 대상자간 중다기초선 설계방법을 이용하여 중재의 효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과 학급차원의 긍정적 행동지원은 발달장애 학생들의 바람직한 행동의 증가와 문제행동의 감소에 영향을 주었다. 또한 학급에서 또래 학생들과의 상호작용 행동을 관찰한 결과, 또래학생들의 긍정적 상호작용 행동은 증가하고, 부정적 상호작용 행동은 감소하는 효과가 있었다.
