다문화 가정 학생의 읽기 능력에 관한 사례 연구

Abstract

As multiculturalism phenomenon progresses in Korea, the international marriage families have increased, and the immigrant women's maladjustment and their second generation immigrants' education have recently become important topic in Korean society. Students from the multicultural families have difficulty in reading, and this cannot be separated from their mothers who are marriage immigrant women. After the students from multicultural families enter the public education, the socio-cultural background of their mothers will have big influence on the students. Therefore, being aware of such a problem, the research has been done about the reading ability of the student from multicultural families. As a result, the students from multicultural families use socio-cultural background knowledge regarding reading, and this showed that the students have received their mother's socio-cultural influence. In addition, there exist difficult phases not to be able to reach the equivalent level of the mother tongue speakers in socio-cultural knowledge which corresponds to the base for socal-cultural rhetorical embellishment. Accordingly, the effort to raise the socio-cultural background knowledge of the students from multicultural families and their parents basically cannot help meeting the limitation. Therefore, together with the rhetorical embellishment improvement education for the learners from multicultural families and their parents, the education about multicultural complex rhetorical embellishment needs to be considered.
