Abstract
Pedagogical agents have been developed to solve the problem of learners being psychologically isolated when using multimedia learning. This study wanted to know how the face of the pedagogical agent attractiveness plays an important role in interacting with the user, and how the learner's teancity has a moderating effect. To that end, 28 students at the university were surveyed and tested, and the experimenter solved the English problem in an interactive interface with the pedagogical agent. As a result, the agent attractiveness and the motivation and tenacity are correlated with each other, and the agent attractiveness had a positive effect on the motivation and the tenacity had no significant effect. In other words, high agent attractiveness improves learner motivation, but tenacity has not affected. Through this, this study is expected to help research multimedia learning using agent-based interfaces that reflect the appearance of agents.
