중국 현대 문학생산 매커니즘의 ‘시장화’ 전환은 중국 사회구조의 전반적 변화와 더불어 발생했는데, 문학 정기간행물은 가장 기초적인 일환으로서 그 변화를 겪게 된다. ‘시장화’ 전환과정에서 1999년을 전후로 문학 정기간행물계에는 대규모 ‘개판열풍’이 일어났고, 이로 인해 문학작품의 발표원칙에도 중요한 변화가 초래되었다. 문학의 심미적 원칙이 시장원칙에 의해 압박받긴 하였지만 이것이 결코 지속적인 ‘시장화’로 인해 국가의 문학 생산에 대한 이데올로기적 규제가 점진적으로 퇴조했음을 의미하지는 않는다. 문학의 ‘정상화’를 도모하고자 하는 시도는 ‘시장화’와 장기적으로 병존하면서, 부단한 조정과정을 통해 ‘시장원칙’과의 새로운 결합지점을 모색하게 된다. ‘정치영역’과 ‘경제영역’의 동시적 압박하에서, 중국의 현대 ‘문학 영역’은 어떠한 특수상황에 처하게 되는가? 국가자본과 국내 민간자본 및 다국적 자본은 어떻게 균형지점을 찾아 중국적 특색이 짙은 문학생산 매커니즘을 형성하는가? 이상이 본 논문이 주력하고자 하는 문제이다.
Abstract
The periodical publications in Chinese literary field experienced the breakthrough while marketization of literary publication appeared with the overall change of Chinese society. In 1999 or so, Chinese literary publication system went through a large-scale transformation which has also lead to the change of criteria on production of literary texts. Although the esthetic principles has been under pressure from the marketing principles, it didn't mean that marketization weakened ideological restriction of the Chinese Communist authorities. The attempt to "normalize" Chinese literature which has also tried to find the new way to satisfy the marketing principles at the same time coexists with the process of marketization. Under pressure from both the political and the economic areas, what circumstances can be expected for the current Chinese literary area? How can national, private and multinational capital find the way to balance their needs to form the new Chinese mechanism on literary production?
