This study is upon the literary awards in New Era of China. Literary awards in China started after the end of CulturalRevolution. And literary awards in this period were usuallyorganized under the name of “China Writers Association,” playingan important role in making of ‘New Era Literature.'After 1990's, literary awards in China flourished, and they canbe categorized into three parts. First is the literary awardsorganized by the government. Second is the literary awardsorganized under the name of “China Writers Association.” Third isthe literary awards organized by civil foundations. They differ inliterary criteria and management system, but as marketisationgrew further in China, the reader as the consumer became morecritical in the literary field.
