유아의 도덕적 판단, 도덕적 행동 및 도덕적 정서가 또래유능성에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 유아의 도덕적 판단, 도덕적 행동 및 도덕적 정서에 대한 성별과 연령의 차이를 알아보고, 도덕적 판단, 도덕적 행동, 도덕적 정서와 또래유능성 간의 관계를 밝히고, 이들 변인의 상대적 영향력을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 G시 사립유치원의 만 3～5세 유아 160명을 선정하였고, 유아의 도덕적 판단, 도덕적 행동, 도덕적 정서 그리고 또래유능성에 관한 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 t-검증, 일원변량분석, Scheffe 사후검증, 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 SPSS 21.0프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과 첫째, 도덕적 행동과 도덕적 정서는 여아가 남아보다 높게 나타났으며, 도덕적 판단에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 연령에 따른 차이를 살펴본 결과, 도덕적 행동과 도덕적 정서에서는 연령이 높을수록 더 높게 나타났으며, 도덕적 판단에서는 5세가 3세와 4세에 비해 더 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 도덕적 판단, 도덕적 행동, 도덕적 정서와 또래유능성 간에 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 도덕적 판단과 도덕적 행동이 또래유능성에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 확인되었고, 특히 도덕적 행동이 또래유능성에 상대적으로 더 중요한 예측변인인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 또래유능성 발달을 위해서 도덕적 행동을 함께 발달시켜야 함을 시사한다.
Abstract
This study investigated the effects of young children’s moral judgement, moral behavior, and moral emotion on peer competence. The participants in this study were 160 children. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 for t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The primary outcomes were as follows: First, girls were found to be better than boys in moral behavior, moral emotion, but there was no difference in moral judgement. Five-year-olds scored higher than 3–4-year-olds in moral judgement. Moral behavior and moral emotion increased with age. Second, there were significant relationships between young children's moral judgement, moral behavior, moral emotion, and peer competence. Third, young children’s moral judgement and moral behavior affected their peer competence. In particular, moral behaviour was found to be a more important variable than moral judgement or moral emotion in their peer competence.
