자살생존자의 트라우마 경험에 대한 자전적 내러티브 탐구

초록

본 연구는 자살목격자이자 자살생존자가 겪어야 했던 경험과 그 트라우마가 삶에 미친 영향, 또 이후 그 경험이 삶에 부여한 의미를 재구성하여 자살생존자의 장기적인 변화과정에 대해서 구체적이고 심층적으로 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자이자 연구 참여자인 나는 상담전문가와의 면담, 기억회상 메모 및 기록일지, 음성 메모, 자기 분석 일지, 수첩, 인터뷰 등을 참고하여 나의 경험을 되돌아보며 그리고 잃어버린 기억들을 찾아 나가면서 자전적 글쓰기를 하였다. 그 결과, 자살생존자의 경험과 트라우마, 그리고 삶을 이야기하면서 얻은 분석 결과 및 해석 결과를 구체화하여 이에 형성된 의미를 바탕으로 <자살생존자의 삶: 나를 잃은 삶>, <자살생존자의 트라우마: 나를 찾아가는 삶>, <자살생존자의 외상 후 성장: 나를 재경험해 나가는 삶>이라는 세 가지의 주제를 도출하였다. 논의에서는 본 연구결과의 주요 결과에 대한 논의, 추후 연구와 상담 실제에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This study tried to explore in detail and depth on the long term process of change of a suicide survivor and eyewitness by reconstructing the experiences, the impact of the trauma on life and the meaning of the experience in life since then. In order to do this, as a researcher and research participant, I reflected on my past experience and found back the lost memories by referencing on the interviews with my advisor, memory notes and record journal, voice memo, self-analysis journal, notebook, interview, etc. and further wrote autobiographical narratives. As a result, I have drawn three topics which are <Suicide Survivor’s Life: Life that lost myself>, <Suicide Survivor’s Trauma: Living to find myself >, <Suicide Survivor’s Post-traumatic Growth: Re-experiencing myself> based on the meanings formed by detailing the analysis result and interpretation result gained from talking about suicide survivor’s experience, trauma and life. In the discussion, the main results of this study were discussed, and suggestions were made for further study and counseling practice.
