이 연구의 목적은 빠르게 변화하고 있는 국제사회 속에서 세계화와 정보화의 영향을 살펴보고, 국가 역할의 변화와 지속성을 고찰하는 것이다. 오늘날 세계화 현상은 정치․경제․사회․문화적으로 한 국가의 기능과 역할을 뛰어넘는 국가 간 관계 증진과 정보네트워크의 확산에 따라 국가의 경계를 초월한 다국적․초국가적 현상으로 표출되고 있다. 한편에서는 국가의 주권과 국경 개념을 벗어난 초국가적 현상들이 확대되어 국제기구나 시민단체, 다국적 기업의 역할이 증대되고 있으며, 또 다른 한편에서는 세계화 시대에 발맞춰 국가경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 국가의 역할이 강조되고 있다. 그러나 세계화는 국제사회의 긍정적 변화와 부정적 문제점을 함께 지니고 있다. 이에 따라 이 연구는 세계화 현상의 확대에 따른 국제관계의 변화 양상을 살펴보고, 이에 따른 국가 역할의 변화와 지속성을 고찰하고자 한다.
Abstract
The purpose this study is to review the influence of globalization in international society, and to research the change and continuity of state role in age of informationiztion. Recently, globalization caused multinational and transnational phenomenon, which transcend function and role of state in spread of information network. Individual civil society, multinational corporations, international NGOs, and international organizations etc. emphasized their role and function in state and international society, and also state role was called to change the role in according to globalization phenomenon. However, globalization has ambivalence, which was came from positive change and negative problems in its process. Therefore, this study is to explore the change of international relations in the process of globalization, and to consider change and continuity of state role.
