Abstract

Covid-19 is a new virus, and infectious respiratory disease that emerged in the city of Wuhan, China in the fourth quarter of 2019 and has spread worldwide. In order to prevent Covid-19, countries have established policies to completely ban foreigners from entering the country and block borders, and in Korea also manage infectious diseases by taking measures such as restrictions on movement and assembly and social distancing. In fact, restrictions and precautions are the most effective way to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, as the social distancing and various restrictions continue to extend, the people’s feelings of depression, anxiety, and stress increase, resulting in lowering the quality of life. The government is also aware of this problem and is conducting ‘Free psychological Counseling for Overcoming Covid-19 Stress’ from March 9, 2020 to help the people recover from their psychological stability and routine. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of Restorative Servicescape on Health-related Quality of Life by synthesizing prior studies that improve the quality of life in the post-Covid-19 Era. In addition, it is intended to confirm the moderating effect of the Hedonic Value in its influence relationship. To achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted on customers with experience visiting resorts located on the coast of the Philippines and Vietnam, and a total of 450 copies were distributed and 407 of them were used for empirical analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, it was found that the Restorative Servicescape had a positive(+) effect on Health-related Quality of Life. Second, it was found that the Hedonic Value had a moderating effect in the Restorative Servicescape and Health-related Quality of Life. Through these findings, theoretical and practical implications were presented for the need for a Restorative Servicescape and Hedonic Value for the recovery of the Quality of Life deteriorated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
