설교가 하나님의 계시인 성경을 통하여 지금도 말씀하시기를 원하시는 바를 전하는 증언의 행위라고 할 때, 설교의 지향점은 개인적이며 사회적 차원을 가질 수 밖에 없다. 이러한 측면에서 설교는 자연스럽게 개인과 교회, 그리고 사회를 향한 변혁적 특성을 가진다. 하나님과의 관계 뿐 아니라 세상과의 관계에도 반응해야 할 예언자적 설교는 본질적으로 사회적 행동이며, 부조리한 세상을 향해 새로운 실재를 증거하는 사역이다. 하나님의 백성들을 거짓과 기만으로 사로잡고 옭아매는 타락한 세속의 지배적 내러티브를 규탄하고 궁극적으로 하나님의 다스리심과 통치하심을 드러내는 예언자적 설교가 이 세상 가운데 거룩한 하나님의 나라를 뚜렷하게 보여주는 사역이라고 할 때, 여기서 강조되는 것은 상상력이라는 요소이다. 읽는 문화에서 보는 문화로, 활자에서 이미지로, 지성보다 상상력의 역할이 점차 강조되는 시대 안에서, 인간과 세상의 패러다임을 바꾸어 나가기도 하는 이미지와 상상력의 위력을 실감하는 세상을 우리는 살아가고 있다. 상상력을 통하여 마음의 이미지와 패러다임의 변혁이 일어날 때, 전인적 행동의 변화가 나타나게 될 것을 기대하게 된다. 예언자적 설교를 하나님의 파토스를 공감하여 청중의 마음에 전달함으로 그들의 성찰과 행동의 변화를 이끄는 거룩한 공적 행위라고 볼 때, 하나님의 백성이 분별하고 저항해야 할 세속의 지배적인 패러다임을 예언자적 상상력이 바꾸어 나갈 수 있다고 한다면, 이러한 상상력이 이끌어 가는 설교는 결국 거짓되고 왜곡된 지배적 패러다임을 전환시켜 하나님의 백성으로 하여금 복음의 텍스트 안에서 재진술된 찬양과 복종의 삶과 함께 하나님의 통치를 노래하는 새로운 정체성을 추구해 나가는 대안적 공동체를 형성해 나간다. 나아가 이러한 설교 가운데 발현되는 상상력의 사용은 시대적 상황에 대한 통찰과 함께 ‘오늘-여기에서 하나님께서는 어떻게 행동하고 계시는가?’ 하는 질문을 통해 하나님의 살아계심을 변함없이 선포하는 예언자적 설교가 변혁적이며 책임적인 교회의 실천을 회복하게 될 것을 기대한다. 오늘의 사회적, 문화적, 정치적 현실 속에서 모든 우상숭배의 불법에 저항하며 ‘십자가의 죽음-부활’의 내러티브를 통해 새로운 대안공동체를 형성해가는 메시지의 중심에는 예언자적 상상력이 있다.
Abstract
Considering that preaching is an act of testimony that conveys what you want to say today through the Bible, which is God's revelation, the direction of preaching has no choice but to have a personal and social dimension. In this respect, preaching naturally has transformational characteristics toward individuals, churches, and society. Prophetic Preaching, which must respond not only to the relationship with God but also to the world, is essentially a social action and a ministry that proves the new reality to the absurd world. When the Prophetic Preaching, which aims to condemn and preach the dominant narrative of the fallen world that captures and detracts the people of God with lies and deceit, and ultimately to the Kingdom of God, which is ruled and ruled by God, is a ministry that clearly shows the Kingdom of holy God in this world, it is the element of imagination that is emphasized here. We are living in a world where we realize the power of image and imagination that changes the paradigm of human beings and the world in an era where the role of imagination is gradually emphasized over intelligence in the culture of reading, from print to image, and in an era where the role of imagination is gradually emphasized over intelligence. When the image and paradigm of the mind are transformed through imagination, we expect changes in the whole behavior to appear. Given that Prophetic Preaching is a holy public act that leads to a change in their reflection and behavior by empathizing with God's pathos and delivering it to the audience's mind, if the Prophet's Imagination can change the dominant paradigm of the world that God's people must discern and resist, the preaching led by this imagination eventually transforms the false and distorted dominant paradigm, forming an alternative community in which God's people seek a new identity to sing God's rule along with the life of praise and obedience restated in the gospel text. Furthermore, the use of imagination expressed during this preaching is expected to restore the practice of the Prophetic Preaching, which unwavering God's living spirit through the question of "How is he behaving today-here?" along with insight into the situation of the times, to restore the practice of the transformative and responsible church. The Prophetic Imagination is at the center of the message that resists the illegality of all idolatry in today's social, cultural, and political reality and forms a new alternative community through the narrative of "Death of the Cross and Resurrection."
